In Norse mythology, “megin” (sometimes spelled “meadhr” or “mein”) refers to a concept of strength, power, or energy. It’s a term used to describe a supernatural force or vigor that can be transferred between individuals or objects. Megin is often associated with divine or magical abilities and is sometimes depicted as a tangible substance that can be imbued or consumed to gain strength or prowess. In some myths, megin is acquired through rituals, deeds or magical means and can enhance a person’s capabilities in various aspects of life, such as battle, craftsmanship, or wisdom.
At its heart, this necklace features a large Rainbow Moonstone cabochon that reflects megin’s otherworldly essence at its core.
The pendant measures approximately 1.2 x 2.1 inches and is suspended from a 16-18 inch hand-woven chain, finished with an ornate antique silver lobster claw clasp.
